Professor Sabine Breitsameter’s Keynote “Sound Experience, Sound Culture, Sound Studies” at the “Sound, Art, Auditory Cultures” conference in Copenhagen (28.-30.11.07)
On the blackboard, Breitsameter is illustrating the translation problems between English and German when it comes to the area of sound.
Breitsameter uses a poem by Wilhelm Busch about music (Musik) and invites the audience to have a go at translating it to show how ‘Geräusch’ could be translated as sound or noise.
The conference is quit busy and especially the keynote lectures have a large audience.
